Light Up the Dark with Solar Power

How many times have you spent a day in the park and you had to make a run for it because it was getting too dark in your spot and you’re getting scared because it’s dark and the lights aren’t working due to the messed up wirings or the light bulb on the lamp post is busted again? It happens to all of us at least once, you know.

solar street lights 6There are also some instances where some parts of your office garden or even your home garden gets too dark and you can’t seem to have lights installed because you’d need to yank out electrical wirings from walls and dig holes on the floor just so you can get a wire out there. Or maybe you went to a grocery at night and you can’t find your keys in your bag because they don’t have lights in the parking lot. Well, solar lights are ideal when it comes to these situations.

There are various outdoor lighting systems that need action. Have you ever heard of solar powered parking lot lights? They also have solar street lights and solar powered garden lights and even solar powered torches nowadays. Think about it. You only need the sun to gather energy to power these lights. So if you’re powering lights outdoors like gardens and parking lots, then it’s a real convenience to use them. Here are some of the available solar lighting systems out there.

Solar parking lot lights

These are like spotlights that are typically used for well, parking lots. Solar parking lot lights are usually suspended on a really high post so it can illuminate the lot and, of course, it would be such a convenience if all groceries and malls have these. You don’t have to worry about the area being too dark and being careful not to drop something only to end up having a hard time looking for them or for your keys in your bag. You also don’t have to worry about your child tripping over something because you can actually see the ground. This is all thanks to solar parking lot lights.

Solar street lights

It’s one of the most commonly seen types of solar powered lights. It illuminates the roads or the walkways in your neighborhood or in the park. They are pretty much like street lights except they have those solar panels on top of the lamp post. Now you don’t have to worry about driving by the mountains because they wouldn’t have to draw out electric cables to faraway places. Solar street lights are independent of those and when your child comes home late from a party or a friend’s house, there would be less trouble because solar lights can be installed in smaller places too. The abundance of these lights has generally made neighborhoods feel safer.

Solar powered garden lights

These are the smaller lights that can be powered by the sun. They’re basically garden lights, but more advanced. Since there are new configurations to allow the light to be directed right where you want them to be, it adds aesthetics to where you use it for. Your gardens can now have that certain touch of elegance or sophistication.

Solar street lights are dependent on the sun’s heat to fuel their batteries. So ideally, solar powered lights are used for outdoors. But people have been known to experimenting on this kind of technology already. Aside from outdoor lights, there are many other solar-powered products available in the market. They are starting to incorporate the solar power technology into other things like smaller appliances. Some of the existing solar powered products are lamps, torches, and even phone chargers.
